I’ve been seriously involved with digital photography (as a hobby of course : ) since i bought the Nikon D50, and since then I’ve done some experiments with Digital photography. By far, my most interest is Infrared photography, it’s like seeing a different world… it opens a window on a parallel world different to the one we usually see..
There are several ways to do IR photography, some people use a special converted IR camera, and other use filters, well I preferred the second way, It’s cheaper :). I used Infrared filter from Cokin, P007, or James bond filter, that’s what people are used to called this filter.
Taking an IR photo needs a special setup in the camera, you have to do some custom white balance for the camera, with IR filter attached, point the camera to a white paper or green grass and set the WB… and you also have to do some post production with Photoshop.. there are several tutorials on the net how to do these things.
For sure, to take a perfect IR photo, you need a lot of practice, i mean a lot
